Lorry Plasterer

An Interview with a Dignified Woman

Interviewed by The DD Photography by Andrew Slough

Lorry is a fashion designer originally from Indiana and now living in the City of Lost Angels. She is driven, grandiose and focused. We recently sat down with Ms. Plasterer and talked all things Lorry including dating, social media and clean cut men. Enjoy, gentlemen…

I think of myself as grandiose. I want to build an empire and do SOMETHING to really help out this planet. I also want to make it as an artist. As you can clearly see, I don’t tend to make things easy for myself. I like to try and win at these careers that are very competitive. Fashion, innovations, painting, drawing, acting, modeling, film, music… so on and so forth. I literally want to create an artistic empire of sorts. Right now, and probably at least in some ways for always, I’m a designer and creative director in the fashion industry.

I think men see me as a little fire cracker. Maybe even like a Jack Russel terrier. Small, cute and really high energy. I only weigh 100 lbs and I’m really loud! (laughs)

The person I date ends up becoming my sounding board. Date me and you will see the insecurities and hear the concerns that other people generally never will. I’m a little bit hot and cold; very sweet when I want to be, but in the end I’m married to my work. I’m a romantic at heart, though.

Other than a great smile and sexy arms, men can get my attention through intellect and talent. You get my attention when you prove you can hold a conversation about something more than surface deep, and you hold my attention when there’s something about you I admire, maybe even envy. When I see a man from across the room I immediately notice how he holds himself. That gets my attention as well. I like a man that’s confident and can have a good time.

Men shouldn’t dress too clean cut, in my opinion. They should wear something slightly grungy, usually black, fashionable but low maintenance. Like worn in boots.

I have five tattoos. A black lotus in my left ankle, Queen Anne’s lace on my back shoulder blade, a gypsy on my left middle finger, the pin from “Death Becomes Her” behind my right ear and a Star of David molecule on my left hip. And another one is coming on my birthday. I think that one is going to be a hummingbird skull on my right rib cage. We’ll see…

I think social media has changed men. And to be honest it has put them on a much more level playing field with women when it comes to dating and relationships.

+++

Lorry Plasterer 6

+++

When I think of sex, and I’m a visual person might I remind you, I immediately go to the visual: a beautiful woman and a strong man enjoying the shit out of each other.

+++

+++

My parents have been married for over 40 years. And that relationship has taught me a lot. It taught me the relevance of having somebody to grow old with, and how much work it takes to make that really happen. I used to want to be just like them, together with somebody from a young age and then with them forever… now I know what’s important to me is having somebody through the last stages of my life. But who knows. I’m part romantic, part free bird.

+++

The most sexually influential man in my life would have to be a good friend of mine who is gay. I suppose that might be a cliche but he helped through the longest single period of my life.
